Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of the search. If you contact us, we receive the content of your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems create ordinary logs such as an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand readership. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How We Use Data
Information is used to operate the service, resolve technical problems, measure aggregate traffic, and improve reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires it.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. Because there are no accounts, we do not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Information Choices
You may have rights to ask about, correct, or delete personal data a service keeps, depending on where you live. Because we keep very little, a request usually involves the contact mailbox and applicable server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Missouri public records held by a state, county, or city custodian are outside our control, so requests about those records must go to that office.
Policy Revisions
We may revise this policy as practices change. The current version is posted here, and continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
